october 28

the count down to halloween is in the single digits - you can count the days with 1 hand, even if you're missing some fingers. It's also the evening before my Debut show at posers gallery, and I've been working like a mad scientest trying to get everything done.

Because of that, the contests have suffered a little bit ... so what I'm giving away today is this ... to 3 people I will send a book mark, a black and sketchcard and a sticker from the people at zombies and toys ... all you HAVE to do is comment, like or retweet.

Day 26

There is no image today ... it's been a super busy day getting ready for the first ever Dark Art exhibit at Posers Gallery - my works are the featured works and it's gotten me very excited and nervous. On Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th I will be at the gallery doing drawing demos as well as zombie portraits. If you would like to be zombified, from now until the end of October a 4 x 6 watercolored portrait is only $15. If you want to see yourself with undead eyes, send me an email and we'll make it happen.

day 25 - deadpool, zombie hunter

I love Deadpool. Issue 98 of the new mutants is when I first decided I was going to draw superheros ... if Rob Liefeld could do it, anyone could. Right? ( To be fair, at the time I thought his artwork was theBOMB, but as I grew in experience I started seeing all the flaws, still, he was a huge influence. ) And now I draw zombies, and Deadpool looks like a zombie without his mask, so it all ties in. I think he would have a great time killing zombies. He would probably get quite creative.

Yesterdays zombie portrait has been chosen by my son, it will be created this afternoon and the winner will be announced then. Sometimes its the smallest details that sway the judge. Who woulda thunk it.

Todays zombie is the above sketch card. It's a new one and i might just tweak the eyes and teeth. If you want it, then you have to go to the idrawzombies facebook page and like the image.

day 5 - get zombified

So yesterday Chris won - his reason was the best so once he sends me his address, I'll mail it out. Today its a zombie portrait up for grabs. To enter, just send me your image, either by email, post a link, or whatever. Tomorrow around 9 CST I will get my son to decide who he thinks should become a zombie ... then I'll draw it up, paint it and post the winner.

the october contest has begun

Every single day of October I am going to be giving away a piece of zombie art. I will announce the contest winners the following day and start a new contest up at the same time. zombie girl

Once she was a looker, now she is just looking ... for braaaaains. It has been suggested to me to start drawing more girls or fear being labeled a zombie sexist. Not totally sure if there is such thing as sexist zombies, sexy zombies or even sex with zombies but if there is and somebody knows about it, they're keeping it to themselves.

Which is probably for the best.

Anyways - the zombie girl above is going to get painted and then its going to be given away some time in October ... cool enough?

who wants zombie art?

This is a zombie, he's walking around town looking for a good brain to eat. Will it be yours or will you capture him and take him home and have him as your pet? Wouldn't that be pretty cool? The ultimate in home security - zombie gaurds - until the inevitable happens and all hell breaks loose and instead of feeling safe you're hiding in the attic while everyone else is dead.

ahem ....

Anyways - starting in October I'm going to be giving away a zombie a day until Halloween. So if you want this freaky art piece or one of 31 other ones, you'll have to pay attention if you want to try and win. There will be skill testing questions, simple comment entries, first to guess or whatever else I can think of to make it fun and entertaining.
