looking for love

in all the wrong places. Sure, its a really sad and lame joke that only a few people will get, but whatever. This poor shmuck doesn't care what you or anyone else thinks. Nope. He was on his way to visit his new girlfriend and celebrate their 3 month anniversary when he decided to be a good samaritan and help this old lady that looked like she got hit by a car. When he leaned over to see if she was okay she tried to bite him in the face. Her spit got in his eyes ... and you probably know the rest.

In other news, here is another cool looking zombie costume for halloween. This one would be awesome for my son. It really suits his build. Maybe in a few years I could convince him to wear it. This year he wants to be spiderman. Still cool, but seriously. A zombie child in a small rural town with a heavy religous slant. This would rock. eye spy

Ever have the feeling you're being watched? What if the watcher suddenly jumped out of the shadows, chased you down, ripped open your chest and ate your heart? That would be a bad day. That's also the reason that I don't go out much late at night. Very rarely, and usually only to let the dog pee.

Continuing with the promotion of zombie costumes, here's another one that I like. A punk rock zombie ready to eat your brains. This one would go over lovely in this bible belt area that I live in. This one comes with a spiked Mohawk 1/2 mask, a leather looking jacket with boney bloody ribcage, collar and spiked cuffs. Click the image to get more details.

against the wall

I've been slacking in my zombie drawing lately, but i have been learning lots about the tablet. This isn't my best work, but by saving it as a gif and messing with the color palette it turned out alright. New post tomorrow if all goes well.

Also, I am going to be promoting some costumes for people wanting to be a zombie for halloween. I've come across an awesome site that has great costumes, so check it out.

Skeleton Zombie Adult Costume
This is the first zombie costume that I saw when browsing the site. Me and my wife joked about how this would scare the hell out of the kids when we volunteer to help at the school on Halloween party day. They would never ask us back.

This Skeleton Zombie Costume features a skeleton mask with gauze, a shirt and pants with gauze and bones. Gloves are also included and its a decent price too. Click the image to get more details.

becoming man

This was drawn with crappy markers on crappy paper, then saved by bringing it into photoshop and painting it up. Its not a great image, but its the first thing I thought of after reading a story by this fellow named Liban. If he agrees, I'll link it up.

just an edit to say here is the link to the story that inspired the image.

But its not a zombie ... yeah, but its my blog, so plbbbt! (

soldier of zombie

What would you do if you saw this walking down the street. Run? Hide? Run then Hide? Pray that he doesn't remember how to use the gun. Or if he does remember, pray he's a lousy shot.

Anyways, quick doodle colored in PS. Trying to loosen up and experiment with some brushes and techniques. I wouldn't say this is a total fail, but it came close.

zeddy one leg

He lost his leg to rock and roll, but he doesn't mind. All he wants to do is rip into another living person and feast on their entrails. Someone to bring home to meet mom and dad.

the last portrait

I bet you're saying, "HEY, THATS NOT A ZOMBIE! WTF !!?!!1! "
And I would reply "You are correct, that is not the picture of a zombie."
And you would be all "Then why did you post it dumbass?? This is supposed to be the DAILY ZOMBIE. Well Mr. Rempel this blog has not been very DAILY lately and that is NOT A GD ZOMBIE!"
And after the authorities find your chewed up remains the note attached would inform them that this is the last picture taken of you before you were ripped limb from limb by the zombies I have locked in my cellar.

face of death

This is my second attempt at digital painting with my new bamboo tablet. It is alot of fun, but I'm a little slow and clumsy with it. Practice shall make perfect. One thing I know for sure is that I will never be worse than I am right now. There's a little snippet of wisdom.

bamboo zombie

Today I recieved my bamboo drawing tablet, and this is my first drawing done with it. It is actually quite fun to use, and will hopefully help take my digital art to new heights.

In other news - yesterday I was super sick. Every once in a while I get a serious 24 hour flu that just knocks me down. That sucks. But I'm feeling much better.

Other than that, I'm going to continue using this tablet and get better with it, and work on thezombie webcomic. Also, next week the new site launches. Should be fun.

Zobo the zombie

He might be kind of smiling on the outside, but he is undead inside. And he wants to eat your brains. hur hur hur.

Above image was doodled while outside with my boys today. Summer is nearly over so it wouldn't be fair to keep them cooped up inside all day. I think I'll try to color it with water colors later. I'll post the results.

My tablet should be here on Monday or Tuesday. And Tuesday I should be back in full swing, but I've probably said that before. I really really really want to get my zombie webcomic back in action. I have high hopes.

adios

always ready to lend a hand

A zombie doodle grey colored in photoshop. Just a bit of playing around while I try to get some work done with 3 screaming kids in the background. >>sigh<<
In 10 days my eldest goes back to school and things will calm down here dramatically. I am looking forward to it, even if my wife isn't. In other news, my youngest turned 2 today.

Chad and Liban, your stuff is coming. I promise.

Oh yeah, and I ordered a drawing tablet today. I'm looking forward to getting it.
