a new page

Finally had a chance to finish off page 9 of my webcomic called theZOMBIE. Man it took forever, but thats cuz I screwed myself by putting off a job until the last minute, and now its way over due and I'm still working on it. Its about 75% done and I will spend every free minute working on it this weekend so that I can start fresh on everything else on Monday.

And until I have a big enough buffer, I am going to only update my webcomic 1 time per week.

In other news, check out Gibberish the Comic and see a little tiny guest comic I did for Chris. He's a cool guy with an interesting sense of humor that I hope to work with and communicate with more in the future.

Also, Coyote Trax did a review of my webcomic and you can read it here. 3 out of 5 paws is alright in my book.

Lastly, Martin, please call off the bounty hunters.

lady in red

This is the second day in a row I've been able to update this site. And its a twofer!
The above image was doodled at the kitchen table while waiting for something. Always waiting. It turned out pretty good. Then I took it downstairs and colored it with some water colors last night and tweaked it in photoshop today. Not too bad for a doodle.

Its been a nice distraction from all the finishing inks I've been doing to try to complete my over due project. Last I heard there is a bounty on my head ... a couple a bucks I think.

WTF?!?!?!!!1!!

yeah, its been a long time.

You don't really need to know all the shit thats been going on in my life, nor do you really care I'm sure. Suffice to say that things haven't been the same since Canada Day. I'm trying to change stuff up and I just finished my business plan to obtain some grant money so maybe things are going to take a turn for the better soon. We shall see.

finally . . .

It's been too damn long. Thats about all I want to say. Small stupid things always seem to grow into gigantic messes if not dealt with right away. And thats what happened. I left small things for too long and they joined forces to become a monstrosity of a problem and clubbed me around the head for a while. The worst of them have been dealt with, now the remaining tidbits are being dealt with.

The above image is a quick little marker doodle I did yesterday to warm up to zombies again. I also have another update ready for tomorrow.

It might not be monday, but my week has finally begun.

Allison's Zombie

So much for daily eh? I have to tell you it has been a gloriously SHITTY week and a half. As mentioned I had inlaws coming to stay over for nearly a week. That was a week ago. They left and life is starting to resort to normal again, but its taking a while.

There is a whole chapter on why it all went so wrong, and I don't think my wife would like me to share all the juicy bits, so I will just say that some people probably shouldn't have kids if they aren't willing to make the sacrafices necessary to raise them properly.

ANYWAYS . . . . moving right along. Life is nearly back to normal, and I am almost back on track with my zombie projects. By the end of today I should be fully finished my dead future contribution. Whether or not it still gets accepted is another bridge I will cross soon. I think it will, because I'm pouring my soul into it. Once thats done I will finish the rest of my zombie portraits, then open the flood gates to complete all the GvMvD that I have. And once THAT is done, I can get my zombie webcomic back on track.

Above image by my daughter. She felt bad that I haven't updated this site in a while so she drew me a zombie. Notice the bandaid. :)

Finally. Go to zombierocks.com and buy a tshirt. Eric sent me one for a zombie portrait I did of him and I got it yesterday. It is AWESOME and I'm wearing it right now. I got the "Brain Eater" shirt. Top notch quality and the extras were a great bonus too. Thanks Eric.
