Trying to lead a no cares life isn't easy when my own mind keeps trying to ruin things. Always sticking it's negativity where it doesn't belong. It's best to trap these thoughts on paper and then get rid of them.

RefleKtive Corrected Contempt

Some drawings and paintings really suck so they get discarded until they get repurposed. Like this one ... the drawing was okay but that was it ... so I got heavy with the pen and pounded out some animosity towards the memory of things best left forgotten ... and here we are.

nighTmare KoleckTOR

Repurposing an old paper that once contained a minimalistic portrait sketch the brain shut down so art could be arted, and lo an old god and it's collection of skulls started to appear. It looked a little weird with a big round bald head so horns sprouted and spots appeared. The colour combinations are a bit out there and if I really studied it I'm sure I could find dozens of areas that I could improve ... but would it improve the whole piece?

So it's finished and I think I am going to call it a nighTmare KolecKtor because spelling common words in weird ways is fun.

Know Second ...

Who knew it would be so easy?
Just do it ... just fucking do it and see what happens.
There's always a second option but that doesn't mean the first choice is wrong. If it doesn't work out all you've spent was time, but if it works then BOOM! You're golden.
Even if the worst happens, you'll learn something for next time.

Unless this is the zombie apocalypse, then the worst is getting bit and dying a slow agonizingly painful death only to become a zombie as well.

So stop second guessing yourself and get started, and no matter what happens, don't give up.

Another day in the books and there are parts of it I would like to rip out, burn, and forget about. Just another Monday ... right?
Who cares, it's done and we're moving on. 
What was a success today? There were multiple items posted to RedBubble (https://www.redbubble.com/people/byronrempel) , a new zombie cat was added to http://thehorde.storenvy.com shop and multiple posts were made to http://thedailyzombie.blogspot.ca as well as www.thezombiecats.ca and google plus
I installed Instagram on my wifes phone since mine died. She's not thrilled about me using her phone but is trying to be understanding. She's afraid I might ruin her phone like mine got ruined, and like my computers got ruined ... I am technologically cursed.
Oh, and I also posted some wallpapers to www.patreon.com/zombiecats

AND THEN THE BOTTOM DROPPED OUT 
Tuesday came and went followed by the shittiest Wednesday on personal record ... and now it's Thursday
When I started, for the umteenth time, the daily zombie blog again I really wanted to focus on showing my past self what I should have been doing 5+ years ago, in a vain attempt to perhaps pass on some wisdom to others as well, and this is an important bit, to my own children.
Instead, I slipped again and nearly said FUCK IT to the whole damn thing.
But I did not quite do that ...  I nearly did but I didn't. And that is also an important bit.
I got over that hump and I am continuing on the path and continuing to do the work.
I do not want to get whiney and preachy or any of that stuff. Life is a vampire, it only sucks for a little while.

So ... now I need to keep on keeping on.
Today is a wash but still things we're at least not undone ... today is the 18th anniversary of being married to Monica ... an amazing human that I do not fully believe I deserve but she has stayed with me anyways.
I only wish I could do more, at least if I keep at things I won't have to make that wish when we hit 20 :) Positive thinking eh?

Man, what a day yesterday was. Woke up in a half decent mood and then it all started unravelling. It's stupid and it happens every fucking day. By itself it's just life right? Ups and downs ... the problem is that when I start feeling down and spiralling out of control, I take others down with me. 
I hate that ...

but life goes.
And as much as I want to have a one man pity party, nobody really gives a shit so whats the point.  My self pity solves nothing and nothing gets done, making matters even worse.

In my own mind these words come easily.
When I try to commit them to print ... it gets very difficult to recapture the emotions I wanted to express when the thought first presented itself.
So I need to be careful, and thoughtful, regarding the words that I choose to use.

And perhaps I should just use less words.
Get to the point sooner.

Today, which is actually now tomorrow's yesterday, I repeated a pattern that I have repeated again and again in the last 5 or more years. It has to stop. I tell myself I will stop, yet I do it again and expect different results each time ... but ya know what? I keep getting the same results.

Am I insane?
Or is it something deeper, more complex and so enormously personal and lifetime spanning huge that I have been unable to see it?

Going with insanity plea is easier and helps to remove any personal accountability.

Maybe it's the real reason that I do the things I do. 

Everything I do is my fault, it's obvious right? No one makes me, I choose to do things.
But the real question is WHY do I do the things that I do. 

The answer to that is never going to be easy to explain, and as much as I want to try, and may try from time to time, I will try to keep the explaining to a minimum.

I'll keep much of myself to myself and hopefully show some progress and success through my actions from this day forward.

SCREAMING

I've been drawing and sketching and practicing skulls a lot lately. I've been making good progress, this being one of my best skull drawings to date, and the only one with a lower jaw so far. I really like how this one is coming out of the darkness and heading towards what could be the light ... but it might just be a little less darkness.
