Another day in the books and there are parts of it I would like to rip out, burn, and forget about. Just another Monday ... right?
Who cares, it's done and we're moving on. 
What was a success today? There were multiple items posted to RedBubble (https://www.redbubble.com/people/byronrempel) , a new zombie cat was added to http://thehorde.storenvy.com shop and multiple posts were made to http://thedailyzombie.blogspot.ca as well as www.thezombiecats.ca and google plus
I installed Instagram on my wifes phone since mine died. She's not thrilled about me using her phone but is trying to be understanding. She's afraid I might ruin her phone like mine got ruined, and like my computers got ruined ... I am technologically cursed.
Oh, and I also posted some wallpapers to www.patreon.com/zombiecats

AND THEN THE BOTTOM DROPPED OUT 
Tuesday came and went followed by the shittiest Wednesday on personal record ... and now it's Thursday
When I started, for the umteenth time, the daily zombie blog again I really wanted to focus on showing my past self what I should have been doing 5+ years ago, in a vain attempt to perhaps pass on some wisdom to others as well, and this is an important bit, to my own children.
Instead, I slipped again and nearly said FUCK IT to the whole damn thing.
But I did not quite do that ...  I nearly did but I didn't. And that is also an important bit.
I got over that hump and I am continuing on the path and continuing to do the work.
I do not want to get whiney and preachy or any of that stuff. Life is a vampire, it only sucks for a little while.

So ... now I need to keep on keeping on.
Today is a wash but still things we're at least not undone ... today is the 18th anniversary of being married to Monica ... an amazing human that I do not fully believe I deserve but she has stayed with me anyways.
I only wish I could do more, at least if I keep at things I won't have to make that wish when we hit 20 :) Positive thinking eh?

Zombie River

We find outselves once again at a crossroad in life, and the old ways of panic and post are fighting against 'thePLAN'

It feels futile in a time limiting sort of way ... the struggle continues and the blood flows and nothing stops for anyone ... is there a point ... should we wade hip deep through all the shit that life keeps throwing our way or should we just submit an surrender?

business demons

The high cost of doing business ... it's a tough gig being a working artist, and resetting after a breakdown is hard, but I think it would have been even harder to get going again if the internet was still running at home ... now without it I have been forced to take a step back and look at what it was doing to my life.

Monica said it was too much, I didn't see it though ... now I do ... for the first time in over 20 years I am without home internet and I love it.

Getting a Head

As some of you might know already, I've become addicted to drawing and painting skulls. This is one of the more recent skull paintings I created. It's mostly acrylic paint on a 5"x5" piece of 300lb cold pressed watercolor paper.

I really like how there are just 2 colors that define this skull ... and for some reason my black signature at the bottom actually makes the rest of the painting pop out a bit. You see there is darkness without any black. Does that even make sense?

cleaning house ...

There's nothing like a mid life crisis and a murderous brain to really get a person thinking, which is often a bad thing ... and now that I've hit rock bottom ... again, it's time to change everything and start over, because OBVIOUSLY things haven't been working out very well going the way they have been going.

Besides ... what do I have to lose except stuff I have lying around here anyways .. right?

SCREAMING

I've been drawing and sketching and practicing skulls a lot lately. I've been making good progress, this being one of my best skull drawings to date, and the only one with a lower jaw so far. I really like how this one is coming out of the darkness and heading towards what could be the light ... but it might just be a little less darkness.

starting to reemerge from the depths of my own hell

I don't know if you've noticed, but I haven't been around much lately. There were a lot of things that suddenly happened in my life and I just couldn't find the strength to do the online thing. The whole life thing was a little touch and go for a while too. 

Things have settled down a little and I'm fighting with every fibre of my being to get back online and start creating artwork again. So ... to those that have offered their support and wondered how things have been and where I've been ... I appreciate each and every one of you ... and I should be getting more active now.
