i hate mondays guts

for no other reason than it means early morning rush to get kids fed and daughter to school. And usually shopping. I hate shopping too. This was a little doodle I did while waiting in the truck to pick up the kids from school. Watercoloured it up yesterday for the hell of it.

weirdly wired

It's sunday and I'm hungry and feeling lazy. It's cold outside so I'm staying in to work on and finish up idrawzombies.com and paint with the kids some more. The sketchcard below above was just a bit of random directionless doodling that eventually took a life of its own and decided it needed wires and old school transistors. I was powerless to stop this.

Spent time with my wee ones painting. They churned out a half dozen paintings each in the time it took me to do the image seen below. And to top it off they were working on 11x17 papers mostly, and my canvas was the size of a trading card. I need to up my game ...

or put them to work for me.

and ripped off my lips and swallowed them whole without chewing ... it was all downhill after that.

thucking thursday

Yeah, it's a lame title to this post but after yesterday I just ain't in the mood yet to make a better title. Maybe I'll post again later today with something more clever.

hump day horrors

Today has been a bugger of a day. First I overslept and only got up at 7, then nearly late getting my daughter to school, next it was mild shopping then household chores, now its trying to stop my boys from spilling each others brains out on the floor. Bad day to run out of duct tape.

Anyways, latest sketch card that is for sale ... or I give it to Allison because she really likes it.

tuesday cometh

The zombizman works relentlessly through the day answering phones, attending meetings, talking brains around the water cooler and then after a to short lunch break its more meetings and phone conferences and the occasional productivity evaluation. No real work is accomplished, no real job satisfaction is achieved. Such is the life of the zombizman.
By night he hunts ... letting loose the frustrations of the day on some unsuspecting victim.

Been a busy week, redesigning my other site, finishing up and catching up with all my other paying gigs and taking on more and more commisions. terrible tuesday

I'm doing my damnedest to get up at 5am every weekday now and today it worked awesome. Up at 5 and working on stuff that needs working on ... but less than a half hour later my boys start waking up ... by 5:50 they were up and not going back to bed. It all went down hill from there.

But I did what I could and salvaged as much time as I could find and actually got a decent amount of work done. I am now back on track and fully immersing myself in drawing and painting. And the little doodle books I carry around with me are letting me really come to terms with my style, and a sample you can see below.

Hello fiends, its Valentines Day ... the one day of the year when you are allowed to rip the still beating heart right out of a person. Nothing says love like a fist through the chest.

Well I totally sucked these last few weeks ... everything happened one after another and I didn't quite deal with it to well. Those that have followed my on twitter or facebook know the story, the rest of you will have to guess.

Maybe I was running from the law ... or zombies ... or law abiding zombies.

Whatever.

Things have settled down now and I'm getting back in my groove. 4:30 am wake ups are now my life, and drawing ALL the time. To help me do that my BRO gave me a huge pile of discarded blank promo books from the company he works for. They're hardcover and tiny. I take one everywhere now. The images below show how small they are. And if you wanted to know, I used glitter gel pens for the color image there.
