Back to the Ko-fi

We have opened up a NEW and improved Ko-fi page and here's the social media banner for it.

It's mostly being managed by Perry with my artwork and input.

I know I used it before and I really am thankful for all the friends that have bought me coffee in the past. It feels kinda silly to open a new ko-fi page after I spent so much time just trying to get people to follow it.

Now that I'm getting back to work, with HELP that I haven't had before, we needed to get a new revenue source as quickly as possible. Perry and the ZOBs are working hard on the Zazzle store as well as colouring books and other secretive projects that I can't talk about, but these are all long term projects that will generate passive income down the road. 

The last thing I want to do is make posts asking people for money, but I also realize that a lot of people like to give tips when they get a cool kick ass zombie portrait for free. So this is the way they can do it.

I'm trying really hard not to get verbose and explain why it's okay that I do this. I don't know why I always feel like I have to justify my every action, but I do. MEntal Fuckery in my hEAD.

It is finished, warts and all. I could probably tweak this for days and still not be 100% satisfied.

Thanks to Perry though, I have said it's done and I'm ready for the next zombie portrait attempt.
Mixed emotions trying to draw a portrait for the first time this year.
I don't know how well, or poorly, I did on this portrait but it was fun.
Perry is going to make a post over at the Ko-fi page for the Zombie Factory.
(i know, I had one before and closed it down. This ko-fi page is different. It's about whatever Perry wants to talk about regarding the operations of The Zombie Factory. He'll tell you more over there sometime today.

He's happy with the image, I'm on the fence and anxious to know what the victim thinks.

There's a lot of symbolism in this template. I am excited about this new direction things are heading

 In case you're wondering, Zazzle Zombies are zombie portraits I created by hand then make them available to purchase as prints or shirts or whatever other product Zazzle carries. That way I know for sure you get the poster or shirt, and I don't have to stress myself out.

Zombie Themed LAMPS

yeah, that's right. I made some lamps :)

 

Zazzle lets me make some really cool and interesting items. I wish I could actually afford to buy some of the things I'm making. Maybe one day ... but for now I'm enjoying the process of creating, and building a zazzle store filled with Zombie Themed Merchandise that is available around the world. 

I'm mildly discombobulated today because I went on facebook to answer some messages and got caught up in some memories and remorse ... getting out of that by completing little tasks on Zazzle to get my store looking nicer. I really want to try to put portraits on shirts ... would you be interested in that?

Still a lot of experimental learning going on in my life. If anyone actually follows these updates from the blog, you're super cool and I'd really love a shout out in the comments. If you only read this when it's posted on facebook, I'm still staying away from most social media, specifically facebook and instagram, except for the auto posting. So if you comment in facebook, I probably won't see it and if I do, I most likely won't respond. #faq 

Amidst all the lesson learning failures are a few peaks of awesome ... like when someone in Indiana USA bought this green skull drama magnet.

That same person also bought this super cool 30 zombie cat pattern coffee mug.

That, was a nice positive perk.

A few days later someone bought an birthday card.
ANOTHER POSITIVE BOOST!! Woo Hoo!

I might not be making huge bank with small sales, but it's a start. And I like selling without the worry of shipping or any of the other business. I create some interesting artwork, put that artwork on a wide range of products. Someone can buy it, get it shipped to them without me having to worry about it. And I get a small but fair profit. It's a neat feeling, these little bursts of positivity. They're addictive and I want more. I want positive in my life all the time ...

So I have begun focusing as much of my time as possible on building my zazzle store. I don't have time for social media but I know social media is needed. I'm working on my Pinterest board, and the zombie cat  pinterest board, but mostly on automatic. I want to tend to them more as time goes on, so if you do the pinterest thing, I'd love a follow or whatever.

As for the blog, I'm going to keep at it and turn it into a "what's new in the Zombie Factory" blog and my own personal journey as an online store owner. I have a few other ideas but I can't give any away.

The rest of my social media will be taken over by Perry Belmon and the SOBS. They're controlling any of my facebook or instagram posts that may or may not happen, now or in the future. It's kind of complicated but I've been convinced that they'll be good for me and my business. What do I know?

And that was long winded. Thanks again for buying my zazzle products. 
Now would be a great time for someone to start affiliate selling for me ;)

The Zombie Cats . . .

I'm slowly building inventory up in my Zazzle stores. It takes more time than you'd think. Today I thought I would spend some time playing around with the free standing (that's what I call them) Zombie Cats. I made a neat collage and put it on a Zombie Cat Tote Bag.

Then I liked it so much, I put another zombie cat collage on the other side.

So now there's a really cool, stylish, zombie cat filled tote bag in my zazzle store :)

Time to make a lot more because that's what I do now lol

Got any Tattoos?

I don't. I don't have a great healing factor and I don't really like unnecessary pain. You tattooed people out there might say "You don't even notice the pain" or something. I get it. It's your thing.
It's not mine. But ... if I did want a tattoo, I'd go over to the Zombie Factory at Zazzle, and buy these temporary tattoos.

I started a whole line of temporary tattoos today, because someone out there looked at one of mine yesterday. I'm even beginning to teach one of my kids how to add products to the store.

Over Whelmed ...

by the time consuming, mind numbing, confidence crushing, TO DO list. It's huge and growing like a zombie horde as I learn more and more what it takes to run a zazzle store. 

I made a sale today and I got excited.
Later I noticed it gone and wondered why.

Seems the buyer had second thoughts and cancelled.

First sale in weeks gone ... I cried. 

That's a hard lesson to learn.

If this octopus could help me that would be awesome. Sure could use some extra hands, even if they are tentacles. Get the poster here!

I am still busy plugging away at the zazzle stores with very little financial success. It's a lot more work than expected. The more I learn, the more things I add on my TODO list. Now with pinterest working in conjunction with my zazzle store through IFTTT and assisted by the NIFTY tools, I am starting to feel like I'm actually running a store. Albeit a seldom visited store void of customers ... but when people do come look, they'll see a store packed with zombie swag, most of which is personalizable.

If I build it, they will come ... right?

Keep Being You

Hey Gang, how the hell are you? I really don't know who reads my blog but I imagine someone out there does because the stats show I am getting visitors. And it's on the increase because the stats show that too ... so am I doing something right? It can't be wrong because I'm doing it, which isn't to say I never do anything wrong, because believe me, I do LOTS wrong. 

But in this case, the only thing wrong would be doing nothing. But I'm doing stuff, so yay.

I've been plugging away at my zazzle stores for the last few months. I've really started to pick up speed over the last few weeks as I begin to understand how the whole zazzle platform works.

I'm not making sales yet though, which is a real bummer to the ego, but Halloween and Christmas are coming so I'm working hard to fill my store with customizable and personalizable (is that a word?) products featuring my zombies and zombie cats.

Today I plan on working on my blog, figuring out some pinterest and IFTTT.
I received some great feedback on the zazzle blogs which really helped perk up my mood and got me refocused.

Still plugging away on theZAZZLE and doing my best to stay positive about it. This is a mutha fuken marathon and it's only just started. I played with a lot of different products today, including this text over a bunch of zombie paintings. I think the splatter zombie painting works really well with this text.

I just thought I would shout out to myself for working super hard today and putting up over 50 different postcards. I kept the prices on them at default rates, hoping to get picked up on the zazzle radar and promoted a little on their home page, maybe around Halloween especially.

Plus I'm still learning the pricing game. It will probably all be adjusted in the years to come. Super excited about all that is happening in the world of zazzle. I don't think this image will make a front page though, but I still like the thought that someone can now take my artwork and customize it a little. Can you image buying yourself a shirt with this guy on it, and just underneath the dude is a persons name o.O

The desire to create isn't with me and rather than force it, I'm just accepting it and moving on.

what a mess .. .

The universe is in disarray and once again I'm trying to clean and organize my studio space in a vague and half-assed attempt to create some sort of order and control in my own mind.
Until then ... all creating is dead.
Can it be jumpstarted again? Is it worth the effort?
Until I know for sure, I'm going to finish getting the remaining mail out and complete the final commissions. After that ... who the heck knows ... but I hope it will be fun.

... I got nothing.
Total lack of energy to create much more than a sketch. Lacking focus, motivation, inspiration and whatever else I used to have. Just lacking.
