The Game
The above image wasn't created by me, it was done by Paul Peyto, an amazing artist in his own right. The above image is the cover page to the 10 page zombie anthology story line called Dead Future, published by Grim Crew and now available for 99 cents from Drive Thru Comics.
It was a lot of fun to do, more work than I ever thought it would be, and I learned a tonne. If you have a chance, check it out, buy it, read it, tell your friends, write a review, hire me to illustrate for you. :D

becoming Zed
I am finding more often than not Photoshop works best for my style of art, and for my process. So I think for the next week or so I will try to use nothing but photoshop and try refining my process and stepping up my skill. If you want to see how this image was created, check it out on youtube.

zombies in space
Todays zombie is brought to you by the dude who runs BuyZombie.com ... although he did say Alien Zombies ... it did get me thinking of space at least. This was all done in sketchbook pro. I am doing my very best to get used to drawing with a tablet, and hopefully bring it to the level I have with just a pencil. It's getting closer, but it isn't there quite yet.
If you are able to go outside and look up at the stars, you should, and marvel at what else there could be out there.

theCHIN zombie
A request was made to draw a Jay Leno Zombie ... so this is my first try at zombifying a celebrity. In regards to all the late night talk show hoopla, I don't think I could care less. There are far more important things for me to waste my time with.
Anyways, do you like it, hate it or have any requests? Also, since I have your attention, if I drew these on a high quality paper and water colored them, would you buy one?
Lastly, would you like to see videos of how I draw? Here's a little test that I did.
Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment. Thanks.

hidden
I wish I had something profound to say ... but I don't. I'm getting more than a little fed up trying to find time to get my stuff accomplished. There is always so many things to do in a day that drawing and design almost always get pushed back. On top of everything else that normally goes on, we're trying to potty train our youngest child, with no results.
You probably didn't need to know that last bit, but there it is.
Anyways, doodle done during morning coffee, colored in PS. Anyone want to tell this guys story?

looking up
not only is looking up what this zombie type dude is doing, but its also what how I'm feeling about the future. Things are definately looking up.
Anyways, I'm going to be spending the next week finishing off the logos, then its time to learn and experiment with shadows, perspective and scenes. This is a first of many.

don't you hate it when ...
... the program crashes and you didn't save? I hate that.
Well thats what happened. I took a screen shot before having to fully shut down the program, and then cropped out the bit that was messed up. If you want to see the whole image, click here. The white square was the error message. I moved it hoping to see the full image but alas, I was F***ed. C'est la vie.

toothyzee
A sad looking chap, and every dentists worst nightmare. Would you want to work on fixing some zombies severe underbite? Not I.
Image done in PaintTool SAI ... which is a pretty damn good tool to use if you're getting into tablets. I am finding photoshop less and less draw friendly. Its awesome for image manips and coloring, but for flat out sketching, it is lacking.
BTW - this is probably one of the cleanest drawings I have done in a while. It took a lot of self control to do it this clean. Is it worth it or should i try to stick with my slightly more frantic and frazzled look? Let me know people! Leave a comment.

selfportrait
This is just a quick little warm up doodle done in Photoshop with the wacom. Trying to get the cobwebs out and loosen up. Next up I finish the zombification I started the other day. If all goes well I should be working well into the night getting all my little odd jobs done and clearing the plate in order to take on new work. If you're not following me on twitter yet, you should.
