don't you hate it when ...
... the program crashes and you didn't save? I hate that.

Ha ha ! That sucks! I have an idea ... use the white box for a sub picture. You could even expand it down and to the right. Maybe a shot of some poor slobs stored up on a roof top with a view of Zed coming at them. Might work and might not :)
