I have not tried the pokemon-GO app yet, nor do I think I ever will, but I hear that people really like it. I was asked to start zombifying the whole set of characters though and I recalled that I did zombify Pikachu once already. Not sure if I will be able to do the others, unless someone commissions it.
This one is 4"x6" mixed media on paper.

SKULL!!
I have been on a bit of a skull drawing kick lately and this is a pretty neat little skull I made on an art card. It's listed in my store, and here's a direct link.
Are you a fan of skull art? I've looked at what some people can do and it is simply amazing, I have a lot to learn ... which is awesome.
And now I'm out of things to say ... I need to start making my blog more interesting , fill it with wit and facts and witty facts that are factually witty. Anyone reading this? Any suggestions or anything you want to see? Let me know .......................... <- dots="" lots="" of="" p="">->

Petey the Zombie Cat
I'm a big fan of art cards because I like working small, and I'm a big fan of painting cats and a bit of a self proclaimed zombie fanatic, so I make a lot of artcard zombie cats. This one was named Petey by my middle child. There is no reason other than that. I adjusted the eyes a little in photoshop, and if you want to see the actual untouched image, then you should adopt Petey by clicking here.
He is also available on prints, tshirts and other merchandise over at Redbubble and Society6

Two Half Zombie
For those that like the details, each piece is about 1.5"x5" mixed media on paper. It is for sale if you want to own it, click here ... there are also prints available at the stores, you can find the links to them on the side of the blog.
So ... new post in a long time ... how have you been?
I've been stupid busy with family events and life issues in general. Trying to get the blogs set up and running better and also trying to get more involved in other social media platforms like instagram, as well as getting more regular with updating the stores with new products. It's a lot of work for one person to do, never mind creating new artwork.
And now I'm going to go back and update some more parts of this blog.

zombie in jeans
Please excuse all the dust, it has been a while since this place was used last. It feels like I've been out of the art game for so long I don't even know where to begin again. So ... I will try to plunge back in and get things rolling. And to loosen up and scrap away all the cobwebs, I'm keeping things simple and expressive with some fat acrylic brush work on paper. Nothing preplanned or overthought ... straight from the brush to the paper, followed up with a little introspective details work.
I present ... Zombie in Bluejeans ... because what's an abstract painting without an equally abstract title? This is 4"x6" acrylics on paper.
So now I've started ... again. Will the demons bring me back down and keep me down for longer ... or will I be able to keep free of them long enough to make something else? To post something else. To shout out at the world from this tiny little speck of a town they call a city. To be heard ... is there anyone out there?

zombie sketch
Sometimes when I don't know what to do, I grab a paper and just start drawing and painting.
This image was the result of one of those times.

the E stands for EVIL
To add more content to my youtube channel, I painted up the amazing E Blake and recorded the process. You can see the video here. While you're watching, be sure to subscribe.

Parchment Paper Zombie Cat
A few days ago I painted a zombie cat on parchment paper.
This is the video of that process, narrated by me.
Let me know what you think.

wooden stare
Took another plaque, this one a little smaller than the last, and painted a skull of sorts on it.
Total size is probably 3"x7" at the widest parts, and a quarter inch thick maybe.
Needs hanging hardware on the back.
Nearly all my originals are available, inquire if interested.

zombie plaque ...
... but not the kind that rots your teeth. In fact, this zombie has very good teeth, and no obvious signs of gum disease.
Drawn and painted on a 4"x8" wooden oval plaque using mixed media, mostly watercolor and inks.
the original is in my store here: http://bit.ly/1quZVGb

Two Flies
I took another old crappy (imo) painting that didn't look like much, and then gave it another go over. I used snapchat to document the change, and I'm pretty pleased with how the whole change came about.
The only thing though, I don't think I have a very good 'before' picture to compare this to. I'll hunt around for one and post it if I find it.

BMJ
Sometimes when a painting is finished, it still isn't quite done. This one had to much white spaces around it and not quite enough chaos for my liking.
So ... I adjusted it a little and now its done.
It's a little late for me to list it in my store, I have some other things I need to attend to right now, but if you want to own it, make me an offer. I'd list it at $55 but I'm willing to take less for it. I'd rather my artwork be on your wall than in a storage container.
Face Melt
Was it an acid spill or extreme heat that caused the zombies face to melt?
Original artwork available here: http://bit.ly/1PcFGBt
Emerging
I like taking some of my older paintings that never quite looked right and giving them a second coat, adding a few more textures and trying some newly learned techniques on them. Sometimes it turns out really well, like this one. Now it really feels like there are more and more zombies emerging from the darkness.
Original available here.

skull
I painted up a little skull for the most recent Two Sentence Horrors story.
It's 2.5"x3.5" mixed media on watercolor paper artcard.
Own the original here.
DRUMPF !
Back in September I painted up this picture of Donald Drumpf as a joke shortly after he started his election campaign. I never thought he would go as far as he did, nor did I think I would see America tear itself apart like it is.
I know I'm an outside observer, but wow America.
There are no words.

psycho demonic zombie wolverine
Don't know what to draw so I just start drawing. I grab the paints as Wolverine starts to appear but then the demons start to whisper in my ear. The pens come out as the zombies stomp around and do their damage. Let the blood flow ... let the blood flow.

crucifixion
The other day I had the misfortune of answering the door to a couple of super clean cut, bright eyes and big smiles, mormons. They wanted to come in my house ... asking to be invited in like old timey vampire rules. I said no and closed the door.
Ever think about the crucifixion cross and what it was originally intended for? A method to slowly, and painfully, kill someone, and then serve as a warning to others not to commit crimes. Quite brutal really. Now it's used as a symbol of faith and protection ... what a crazy world.
This image was tweaked recently and now looks a helluva lot better.

a small horde ...
I took another old painting and tweaked it, made it darker and added a little splatter to bring a some extra chaos to the image. It looks better now.

Swarmed ...
Feeling overwhelmed and frustrated about a great many things. So much going on and needing to be done it feels like I'm walking through a fog ... sometimes it's tough being a grownup.
approx. 4"x6" mixed media on paper.

Zombie Tippy
Quite a while ago there was an online fun challenge to draw Tippy the turtle. Naturally I drew him as a zombie. It was a lot of fun, seeing as how I've never really drawn a turtle before. Especially not one wearing a hat. It's about 5"x5" mixed media on watercolor paper.
I'm trying to put a little more work of mine out in the world so I'm going through some and putting them at reduced prices ... so if you like Tippy, here's your chance to get him at a deal. click here.

not my son TOO
Another digital zombie portrait commission, the brother of the previous zombie. This guy likes his batman hat a lot. I stitched the logo on so it will be there forever.
International Womens Day
It's international womens day today and here's a shout out to all the moms out there that try to bring fun to their families lives, like Rilla here. She got both of her boys zombified to bring some more weirdness to their house. As a sign of appreciation, I zombified her too.

Group Photo
Or drawing and painting something for hits and iggles ...
This is an image made using input from a bunch of people over on google+ ... they were asked to tell me the object to their left and a color. Then I drew most of those things and used the colors they choose, which was mostly black, blue and green.
It went a little different than I wanted, and was made mostly as a challenge to myself.

The Zombienation Army
Today I made a new design for a tshirt based on the salvation army logo, as well as ripped from the satanic army logo that Marilyn Manson had. The idea came about during a late night conversation with my wife and the more I thought about it the more it made sense to create and put up in a shop.
Over the last 7 years I have been slowly creating a zombie nation ... and with all the people I have painted as zombies, either for the 1000 zombie project or as a private commission, it feels like I have created an army. What better way to show you are a part of that army than a shirt that shows the solidarity. Even if you haven't been painted as a zombie yet, but you enjoy my artwork, horror movies and zombies in general, you are in the zombie nation army too.
Wear it with pride!

another beginning
Life is a constant series of starts and stops ... just like this blog. There are many things going on in my life which keep me busy and stop me from updating websites ... but the art continues.
I've recently started back in to my online stores like zazzle (click here for the zombiecats on zazzle), society6, redbubble and teepublic. I feel the need to start working on these stores as a means to support myself rather than constantly be hunting for commissions. I've also started getting more active on my patreon page.
You can also find me twice a week at two sentence horrors.
Now that I'm feeling sociable again, you should start seeing more work posted here and g+ soon.
Cheers!

Horde 14 - the wallpaper
I have finally made my first desktop/mobile/tablet wallpaper and its all thanks to +Virginia Poltrack and +Jason Krieger
I'm going to start posting more wallpapers for my patreon patrons, and you can find this one on my patreon page here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/4160772
Let me know what you think, and if you like what I do and want more wallpapers in the near future, or more behind the scenes pictures and such, consider being a patron. It can be as little as a buck a month.
Cheers!
